Meet Nicole Johnson
Founder & Owner, UNTANGLED + CO.
Nicole's career began in healthcare, where she earned her degree in Respiratory Therapy—a field centered around problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and caring for people in high-pressure environments.
As life circumstances changed, Nicole transitioned away from clinical healthcare and into business administration. That new adventure quickly led her deeper into finance, bookkeeping, and office operations. What began as a career shift eventually revealed a natural talent for understanding how people, processes, and systems fit together—and recognizing when they don't.
Over the years, Nicole became increasingly passionate about discovering the why behind workplace challenges. She believes that what appears to be an employee performance issue is oftentimes the result of an inefficient process, communication breakdown, or workflow that simply isn't working. Rather than asking, "What's wrong with this employee?" she prefers to start with, "Is there something getting in their way?"
That philosophy became the driving force behind UNTANGLED + CO.
Another exciting aspect of the business is the opportunity to embrace her creative side, combining her love for art, organization, and problem-solving. From designing websites and creating marketing materials to developing a visual identity that captures what makes a business unique, Nicole loves turning ideas into something people can see, use, and connect with. For her, creativity isn't just about making something look good—it's about helping a business communicate who it is.

When she's not untangling business challenges, you'll probably find Nicole somewhere outdoors, preferably with a good book waiting for her when she gets back.
She loves serving in children's ministry at her church and participating in missions work. Nicole is passionate about sharing the love of Jesus with others, especially in places and communities that are often overlooked.
Nicole is happiest in the mountains and will happily tackle just about any hike if there's a waterfall at the end. She loves camping, traveling, music, reading, and pretty much anything that gets her outside and surrounded by nature. Most of all, she treasures time spent with family and friends, including her two furry companions, Winston and Willow.
She's naturally organized but has an appreciation for spontaneity, believing there's room in life for both a good plan and an unexpected adventure!
At the heart of everything she does, Nicole believes life and work shouldn't have to feel unnecessarily complicated. Her goal is simple: work smarter, not harder.
